Byron Bay is a slice of paradise right here on Earth. Nestled at the easternmost edge of Australia, this beautiful little town exudes beauty at every turn. Known for its endless coastlines with magnificent beaches, world-class surf, captivating wildlife, and a wonderfully relaxed ambiance, Byron Bay is an idyllic escape like no other. So, how did I end up here?
Six years ago, I was fortunate enough to travel the Australian east coast, from Sydney all the way up to Cairns. Up until that point, I had never really heard about Byron Bay, but the moment I arrived, something changed. It wasn't just the lighthouse with its amazing views or the wonderful beach walk from Main Beach to The Pass. It was a feeling, an indescribable feeling. At the time, I did not even explore everything, as I have now, but I knew one thing: I had to return to this place. I dreamed of it, visualized it, until one day I found myself boarding a plane to Australia again, somehow ending up living here.
Transitioning from twenty-one years old to twenty-seven, a lot had changed. I had graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in European Studies, worked in marketing for a while, and developed my new love: travel photography. Photography had always been something I enjoyed, even when I was younger on holidays with my dad to beautiful destinations. Now, armed with the right gear and growing confidence, I could transform my photos into something more professional and beautiful. Being in Byron Bay also made one of my long-time dreams: creating a platform where I could share my photos and travel stories with you, come true. It has taken a while (as a perfectionist who is never quite satisfied with how things look), but I am thrilled to announce that Latélle Studio has been founded, a place where photography and travel meets.
So, while I am in this magnificent and wonderful place, which I know I won’t be forever, as I have a some wonderful people waiting for me that I couldn’t live without. I try to enjoy every moment it brings. As the famous quote goes, " It's all about the journey, not the destination," and I have a feeling my journey has only just begun.
